Technic UK Doubles Manufacturing Capabilities for Photoimageable Materials and Etch Resists
Nuneaton, UK - Technic UK (Lektrachem Ltd.) installed its second triple roll mill in April 2022, effectively doubling its capability for providing Technic products such as Technimask, Soldermask, and Thermal etch resists to the company’s expanding European and Asian markets.
Photoimageable liquid resists are a type of ink used in various industrial processes, particularly in semiconductor and PCB manufacturing. These inks are designed to be sensitive to ultraviolet (UV) light, either in traditional equipment or laser direct imaging (LDI) systems, which allows for precise patterning during the manufacturing of electronic components.
The three roll mill uses shear force created by the three water-cooled horizontal rollers (RAWS) that rotate in different directions and speeds to mix, disperse and homogenize pre-milled formulations. Triple roll mills provide reliable, finely ground end-products to meet the most stringent particle sizes required for most printing inks and etch resists.
