Cranston, Rhode Island, USA - Technic proudly marks its 80th anniversary, celebrating eight decades of excellence in specialty chemistry, surface finishing, analytical control, and engineered powders for the global electronics industry.

Founded in 1944 in Providence, RI, Technic began as a regional supplier to the decorative plating industry in New England. Since then, it has evolved into a global innovator, helping shape the modern electronics landscape from the earliest days of printed circuit boards to today’s most advanced semiconductor technologies.

Through decades of growth and innovation—from establishing nationwide distribution in the 1960s and 70s to expanding internationally in the 1990s—Technic has become a trusted partner to manufacturers across North America, Europe, and Asia. Today, Technic operates 27 facilities across 14 countries, employing over 1,100 professionals dedicated to advancing the technologies that power our connected world.
